Andy Stanton. From friend to manager; check out how Late Replies became a House - hold name

Long-time friend of Floor’d, Andy Stanton, has seen incredible success in his career previously with ‘33’ events and now his management skills and strategies that have seen Late Replies catapulted into the set lists of major artists

across the industry and gigs scheduled all over the world.

Now, like most of the people who work in the dance music scene, a career usually spawns from a love of raving and going to dance events and that was exactly the case with Andy. Spending a weekend immersed in House music at the legendary Studio 338 for over 12 hours solidified Andy’s decision that this was exactly where he was supposed to be and his career started from there.

They say that three makes a crowd, but this certainly isn’t the case for Andy, Kas and Josh [Late Replies]. Back in 2016, Andy was setting up his event brand ‘33’ and was on the hunt for some new DJs to play at his first party. It was through a friend's recommendation that he came across two guys looking to take their first steps in the DJ world looking for their first show. After their first meeting at Elrow, the rest became history and a

budding friendship grew from there.

Andy was alongside Kas and Josh as they grew as artists, helping with their career where he could until they developed into the Late Replies we all know and love today. A partnership progressed until Late Replies formally made Andy their manager and the three of them haven’t looked back since. From international gigs to supporting some of the biggest names in the industry to launching their very own record label, Black Label Recs, just to keep up with the amount of tunes the boys churn out on a regular basis and to really hone in on what makes that ‘LR’ underground sound.

Andy gave us 3 insights into the strategy that goes on behind a Late Replies release to get them to that number 1 slot, just as they did with ‘Hold Up’.

Of course, a LOT more of hard work goes on but here is a simplified version:

  1. Send out promos to a select few artists to stay ‘in demand’

  2. Get as many videos of the track being played in a club as possible - you want the social media world seeing it going OFF

  3. Once everything is signed off, its time for a BIG media campaign (Radio promo, pre-order campaigns, advertising on socials and Spotify plays, you name it - these guys put the effort into it)

However, the biggest piece of advice Andy has for any artists out there is to make the tracks for you. Be authentic and find your own niche. Once you have done that, you’ve cracked the code.

We’re looking forward to what else Andy and the Late Replies boys achieve over the next few years, we’re sure that it won’t be anything less than stellar.
